Notta Referral Program - How to Invite Friends

How the Referral Program Works

Notta's referral program lets existing users share a personal referral link; when a new user signs up through that link, both sides receive a bonus. There is no code to type in - simply going through the link is enough for the referral to register.

You can get your link from the "Invite friends" section of the dashboard. Your referrer information is embedded in the link itself, so the moment a new user registers through it, the two accounts are matched up automatically. The bonus is granted automatically as well, with no manual claim to file.

Ways to Share Your Referral Link

  • Share from the dashboard: "Invite friends" on the Notta dashboard lets you send the link by email or social media
  • Copy the link and pass it along: You can also copy your referral link and share it directly over chat or email
  • Post it on social media: Sharing the link on Twitter (X) or LinkedIn alongside your own experience reaches a much wider audience

Sign-up rates climb when you attach a concrete benefit to the link - something like "writing up meeting minutes now takes me a couple of minutes". A single line about your own experience is far more persuasive than a bare link.

Things to Watch Out For

What the referral bonus consists of varies with the campaign running at the time. If the new user signs up by any route other than your referral link, no bonus applies - so make it clear they need to register through the link itself.

There may also be a cap on how many people you can refer. Once you hit it, later referrals stop earning a bonus. Your current referral count and the applicable limit are visible on the dashboard, so it is worth checking periodically. Fraudulent referrals, such as creating accounts to refer yourself, violate the terms of service and put your account at risk of suspension.

Tips for Successful Referrals

To raise your success rate, be explicit about what the other person gains. Emphasize the benefits that speak directly to their problems: a transcription tool they can use for free, meeting minutes that write themselves.

The single most effective approach is letting people see Notta in action. Show a colleague how Notta transcribes in real time during a meeting and the odds they will want it for themselves go way up. Seeing beats hearing about it; a live demonstration is the strongest referral tool you have.

A Strategy for Rolling It Out to Your Whole Team

If you are moving from personal use to adopting Notta across a team, a staged approach works best. Use it yourself for one or two weeks first, produce a result, then present that result at a team meeting. Concrete numbers - "the time I spend writing up minutes was cut in half" - are what capture your teammates' attention.

Share your referral link with the team and have everyone start on the free plan, and your referral credits accumulate along the way. Once team-wide use has taken hold, moving to the business plan becomes the natural next step. Bottom-up adoption tends to stick better than a top-down mandate.
